Where your suburb sits on the Sydney corridor

The Central Coast is really a string of very different towns along the M1 and the rail line. We group our suburbs by their stretch of the Coast and show the honest road time down to Sydney, because that drive is half of what shapes a corridor move. Pick yours for the local detail and a quote.

Down the lineSydney Up the lineThe Coast
The Woy Woy peninsula The closest end to Sydney up the M1, but the older streets are narrow and the loading spots tight.
Gosford and around The corridor hub on the rail line, with hillside blocks and the busy town centre to plan around.
The ocean beaches Off the motorway to the coast, so a touch further down the line, and the beachfront streets are tight and metered.
The northern lakes The long end of the run, with family streets, newer estates and some bush-edge acreage.

Bar shows the honest road time down the M1 to Sydney: shorter near the city, longer up the line. Off-peak; the loading and access at your end decide the rest.

The corridor difference

Moving down to Sydney, or up to the Coast? Put it on the one run.

A move along the corridor is not a round-the-block shift. It is a long-haul day where the M1 leg, the load size and whether it is a dedicated truck or a shared backload all decide the price. Most removalists quote it like a local job and surprise you later. We plan the run, load early to dodge the peaks, and cost the drive in up front.

Shared backloadShare the truck space when your dates are flexible.

Our planner

See what kind of move yours is, before you book

Build your move on the corridor in a few taps: which way it is going, where on the Coast you sit, the access at this end, and the size. The Corridor Move Planner draws your trip on the M1, tells you honestly whether it is a local move, a day-run or a long-haul, and prints a one-page brief to bring to your quote.

    Settled in

We place everything where it belongs, reassemble what we took apart, and clear the empty cartons if you like.

Why choose us

Corridor know-how, careful hands, honest quotes

We plan the M1 leg, not just the trip

A Sydney move is a long-haul day, so we load early to keep the highway leg between the peaks, and we tell you whether a dedicated truck or a cheaper shared backload suits your dates.

Every end of the Coast is different

A narrow Woy Woy street, a steep Terrigal headland, a metered Terrigal or Avoca beachfront, a Wyong acreage driveway. We plan the real access at your end, not a generic carry.

Honest about the hard parts

If a pantech cannot reach a beachfront unit or a hillside door, we tell you up front and cost the shuttle in, rather than discovering it on the day and adding to the bill.

Insured, every move

Your belongings are covered while we are carrying them. Wrapping and protecting your furniture and your home is part of the job, not an upsell.

Common questions

Good to know before you move

How much does a move down to (or up from) Sydney cost?

A corridor run is quoted with the drive built in. The hourly crew rate is the same (from $200/hour for two movers and a truck), and the M1 leg, the load size and whether it is a dedicated truck or a shared backload decide the rest. The Corridor Move Planner shows you which kind of move yours is, and we quote it honestly up front.

Is a Central Coast to Sydney move done in one day?

For most homes, yes. From Gosford, Woy Woy or Wyong it is a bit over an hour each way down the M1, so a house is comfortably a one-truck day. A bigger home, or tight access at one end, may mean a larger crew and more time, which we factor in. We load early so the highway leg sits between the peak windows.

Can you reach a beachfront or hillside home?

Usually, and where a full-size truck genuinely cannot get to a beachfront unit or a steep Terrigal driveway, we shuttle with a smaller vehicle from where it can legally stop. We scout the access for your address in advance and cost it in, so there are no surprises on the day.

How far ahead should I book?

The earlier the better, especially around month-end, school holidays and summer when removalists book out. A week or two usually secures your date, but get in touch even at short notice and we will do our best.
